Dave originaly bought this car off his old man who had put the v8 in it. It was stock height with stock rims and a single spinner diff (in desperate need of a SDP make over)
After a couple of years of peg-leger burnouts that would impress any pirate on a long voyage he decided to give her a SDP birthday with a new set of polished 17inch rims and directional rubber. We also sorted out the suspension with new shocks & springs in the rear and a coil over front suspension setup.
VT front disks and calipers were fitted and the exhaust was modified to give it the noise and flow it needed. Next on the wish list was a belt drive which was swiftly fitted to the 8 pack to give it the whine we all love to hear. The VK was then sent off to get a fresh coat of paint and returned ready to rumble.
Dave’s Commodore has come a long way since its 4cylinder family cruising days. Dave enters this car into anything he can, from drag racing and powercruise, to burn out comps and weekend cruising. He definitely drives it like it should be driven, check out the videos section to see what I mean.
One comment.
I’ve got a 1985 Holden VK Commodore (SL) I really want to change the grill to a SS Group A grill. Is that what you did?
